Cancellation Policy
Due to the planning and preparation involved in our workshops and programs, refunds are not available once registration and payment have been completed, including the first payment of a payment plan. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another individual up to 48 hours before the workshop or program begins. To request a transfer, please email Christine at christine@creativeconnectionsandwellbeing.com with the name and email address of the person who will be attending in your place. Participants are responsible for coordinating the transfer and any related payment arrangements. [Live Online] Supervisors Use of Arts-based Practices to Foster Professional Identity (1 CE)

Description:
This study examines how art therapy supervisors use arts-based methods to facilitate PID with masters-level art therapy students while exploring historical and current supervisory practices. A cross-sectional survey of credentialed art therapy supervisors highlights the impact of creative approaches on self-awareness, competency, and professional growth in art therapy supervision. Participants will engage in live discussion and art making.
Learning Objectives:
Objective 1: Participants will describe professional identity development in at least one mental health profession.
Objective 2: Participants will identify at least two factors of professional identity development paired the most with arts-based methods to facilitate professional identity development.
Objective 3: Participants will analyze at least two gaps in the literature on historical and current supervisory practices and their impact on the field.

Description:
This introductory course is designed for creative arts therapy professionals who are beginning their journey as clinical supervisors in private practice. Participants will explore the various definitions of supervision within the mental health field, examine core supervisory values, and develop a personal supervision definition that aligns with their professional discipline. This course will also provide an overview of the benefits of supervision, introduce key supervision models, and outline foundational elements of effective supervisory practice. Participants will engage in art making to further expand their definition of supervision.

Objective 2: Participants will clarify personal core values as a clinical supervisor.
